Certification in Wix Studio League happens without submitting applications or taking exams. The Wix Studio team monthly analyzes portfolios of all creators on the platform and selects those who meet high quality standards. Your work should speak for itself.
What are the criteria for Web Designer certification?
To obtain web designer certification, you need to have a minimum of 3 premium sites on Wix Studio, with at least one created from scratch. All sites must demonstrate active settings for mobile devices and tablets using advanced units of measurement, including CSS Grid.
Sites must include creative components: animations, blend modes, sticky elements, and other interactive solutions. Mandatory requirements include compliance with SEO and accessibility standards: organized heading structure with proper H1 usage, high color contrast ratio, and descriptive alt text for all images, among many other parameters.
What are the criteria for Developer certification?
Developer certification requires a minimum of 3 premium sites built using Wix Studio, or one Blocks application installed on 3+ premium sites. You must demonstrate a minimum of 14 days of active coding and use of advanced programming capabilities.
Mandatory requirements include integrations with external business APIs, use of Wix backend events, and creation of custom backend code. Sites must include integrations with third-party services like Stripe, Twilio, or SendGrid, use of secret manager, and creation of APIs in backend or public files. An important requirement is security — sites must not expose secret keys, and active use of monitoring tools for debugging and performance tracking must be demonstrated.
